Easy Southern Meatloaf

?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????Oh boy! I love meatloaf but only homemade meatloaf. My husband loves my meatloaf. It’s one his favorite meals. A fresh meatloaf with a side of southern fried potatoes and green beans make for a yummy meal.  There’s a lot of different meatloaf recipes. If you like meatloaf, then give this recipe a try.

Let’s Get Baking:

You will need:

1 and 1/2 pounds of Ground Beef (I sometimes use Half Ground Turkey & Half Ground Beef) Really you can use any type of ground meat.

1/2 Onion minced

2 Garlic Cloves minced

1/4 cup of Green Chilies chopped (trust me on this one) These add some great flavor!

2 Eggs beaten

4-5 slices of cubed bread

1/2 cup of Ketchup

2 tablespoons of Honey

Salt & Black Pepper For Taste

Tip: Want a little kick of spice? Add 1 teaspoon of Cayenne Pepper to Hot Sauce to your Meatloaf Mixture.

Directions:

Pre-Heat Oven to 350F. Grease a loaf pan and set aside.

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients together thoroughly. Form mixture into a loaf shape. Whisk the ketchup with the honey. Place the meat loaf into the well-greased loaf pan and cover thoroughly with the Ketchup mixture.

Bake at 350F for 1 hour. Let set a few minutes before slicing.

Slice and Serve.
