Slow Cooked White Beans & Ham

Beans and HamI grew up eating white beans and pinto beans. Several meals a week our family had beans as a side dish. And beans are great with a hot slice of cornbread. This recipe is so simple and delicious.

Let’s Get Cooking!

You will need:

1 Bone-In Ham (about 4 pounds or smaller)

1 bag of White Northern Beans

Salt & Black Pepper

Tip: For some extra flavor add 2 tablespoons of Bacon Grease.

Directions:

Wash beans and place into slow cooker with Ham.  Pour about 5 cups of Water into the crock pot.  Salt and Pepper the ham and beans. Cook on low for 7-8 hours. Once ham is cooked, remove bone and slice ham. Place ham back into the beans. Serve with hot cornbread.

Enjoy!
