I love homemade butter. We make it every holiday for homemade rolls. However, I really like Garlic Butter on bread with my pasta. It’s really easy, makes a lot and much cheaper and healthier than store bought butter. You can also save the milk off the butter for fresh buttermilk. It goes great in cornbread.
Let’s Get Cooking!
You will need:
1 Pint of Heavy Whipping Cream
2 Cloves of Garlic
2 tablespoons of Green Onion Chopped
1 Basil Leaf
2 tablespoons of Green Bell Pepper chopped
1-2 teaspoons of Italian Seasoning
Pinch of Salt
Pour whipping cream into a food processor and mix for about 5 minutes. It will look runny at first but then it will set up. Once a yellow butter forms, pour off the buttermilk. Stir a few times to squish out all the buttermilk from the butter. Add the garlic, green onion, bell pepper, basil, Italian Seasoning and salt. Mix in food processor until well mixed and smooth. Spread on bread. Refrigerate the rest of the butter.
