Fried Potatoes have been on my dinner table since I was child. We had them with almost every meal. A lot of people think fried potatoes are french fries. But, they are not french fries. They 100% country food and delicious.
Let’s Get Cooking:
You will need:
4-5 Medium sized potatoes peeled and sliced thinly
1/2 Onion diced Optional
1/4 cup of Bacon Grease or Shortening
Salt and Black Pepper
Place grease into a large non-stick skillet. Once grease is hot, toss in potatoes and onions if using. Season with salt and black pepper. Place a lid on top of the fried potatoes. This is important to keep the moisture in the skillet. It helps the potatoes cook. Reduce heat to medium and flip potatoes occasionally. Cook for about 20-30 minutes until tender. Serve.
