Let’s Get Cooking!
You will need:
2 cups of Shawnee Corn Meal (Self Rising)
1/2 cup of Milk
Pinch Salt and Black Pepper
Tip: if you have it available add 1 tablespoon of Bacon Grease.
Mix all ingredients until well mixed. Drop 1 tablespoon of butter into a skillet after each round of patties. Cook on medium heat. Once hot, drop spoonfuls of the cornbread mixture into patty shapes in the skillet. This is just like cooking pancakes. Cooke 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Serve.
