Slow Roasted Lemon-Pepper Chicken



Let’s Get Cooking!

You will need:

1 Whole Chicken (4-6 pounds)

2 Lemons sliced

1 Onion quartered

2 Garlic Cloves smashed

3 tablespoons Lemon Pepper Seasoning

1 teaspoon of Ground Sage

1 Sage Leaf

2 tablespoons of melted Butter

1 cup of Beer or Chicken Broth

Salt and Black Pepper


Whisk melted butter and juice of 1 lemon together. Rub chicken all over with melted butter and lemon juice. Whisk ground sage and lemon pepper seasoning together and throughly rub chicken all over with rub mixture. Stuff chicken with garlic, sage leaf, lemon and onion pieces. Pour beer or chicken broth into bottom of roasting pan. Cover chicken and bake at 350F for 20 minutes per pound and cooking thermometer reads 165F. Uncovering the chicken for last 15-20 minutes of cooking will give the chicken a roasted color. Bast the chicken 2 or 3 times through the cooking process. Slice & Serve.
