Good Morning and Happy Friday Y’all! I’m up early this morning, adding a few recipes to the blog before I start my day. Mashed potatoes were a side dish my family always had especially with fried chicken or chicken fried steak and gravy. These are so good topped with gravy.

You will need:
4-5 Large Baking Potatoes peeled and diced
1/2 cup of Milk (warm the milk)
1/2 stick of Butter
Salt and Ground Black Pepper for taste
Boil potatoes in water until tender and strain. Place potatoes in a bowl and add the milk, butter and salt and black pepper. Mash everything together until smooth. If not creamy enough, add a little more milk. Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary. Serve.
Tip: for extra smooth mashed potatoes, you can beat the mashed potatoes with an electric hand mixer to remove any lumps.
